Discipleship:

Oasis Ministry Center has a strong desire to grow you up in the knowledge of Christ so that you will “be” and “do” what God has created in you to “be” and “do”(Ephesians 4:15). We offer many classes on bible based living. It is important that we not just know about Christ but to actually know him. We are not concerned with filling a building with people who want a club type feel or fun and games. We are interested in developing a Christ centered community of believers who have fun, play games, go on vacations, work, and do all kinds of activities the Lord puts on our hearts to do (John 5:19). Being led of the Lord brings about great pleasure! To go where Jesus is going and do what He is doing is a life style not an event. Get ready to live!

Money:

Don't worry about an offering plate being passed by you. Feeling pressured to do anything is not cool. We were serving Christ long before you came and we will serve long after you leave (if you leave). Giving is a principle of sowing and reaping. Freely God gives to you freely you give to others (Mathew 10:8). Give and it will be given unto you pressed down shaken together and running over (Luke 6:38). Bring all your tithe to the storehouse (Malachi 3:10). Many of these scriptures are in the bible and we live by them but we don't expect you to unless this revelation has been downloaded to you by God. Giving isn't all about your money. It could be time or other resources but some of it is money so get over it. Until Christ speaks you, do nothing out of obligation. Obedience is better than sacrifice (1Samuel 15:22). It is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35). Your heart is where your treasure or finances are (Luke 12:34) so be prepared to just be . Do as Christ guides you. You will not stand before us when you die rather it is He who has prepared a mansion for you in heaven (John 14:3)! Praise be to God. There, now you know where we stand when it comes to you and your money! Keep it unless God says otherwise! The book of Acts in the Bible has a chapter and verse that we like to use around here. Acts 2:42-47 says “they sold all their possessions and gave to those who had need”.  We are into giving and receiving.

Organizational  Structure:

A family style meeting is what you can expect at our Center. Dress as fancy as you'd like or as drab as you'd like. Remember, man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at the heart (1Samuel 16:7). Also remember that you are before kings and priests (1Peter 2:9). You will meet the King of Kings (1Timothy 6:15) as you hunger and thirst for him (Mathew 5:6). If you hang out with us long enough you will be put to work! We make messes and we clean them up. We pray together, laugh together, cry together, and well, just live life together (Romans 12:15). At some point you may want to become part of the family.  God calls us into his service for a reason (2Peter 1:10)! Don't worry, there are plenty of positions in this family. Actually a position awaits everyone who is part of the family (1Corinthians 12:12). We encourage all who enter to come and learn so you can go and live (James 1:22)!

Worship:

Worship comes in all different types and forms. Song, dance, reading, listening, work, etc. We at Oasis Ministry Center want to give way for all expressions. Ecclesiastes 3 says there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven. Our goal is to identify the gifts, talents, and abilities of people and find a matching place to practice. We want to be lead of the Lord always. So when it comes time to worship with song, we don't want a choreographed, cookie cutter, program based time. We want planned, spontaneous, orderly but always fruitful times together. Singing to the Lord with one voice. Doing the biblically based model. King David in the bible sang, played,  danced and forgot about all else. There were musical instruments played with excellence. Singing and dancing. A joyful noise celebrating the wonderful living God we all are seeking! We are not interested in man/woman getting the attention. Christ alone is worthy of our love and adoration. Come to give is the idea. In giving you will definitely receive. As the people of God came to bring their sacrifice of worship, they received a pardon from their sin for one more year. They came first to give. Seek his face and his hand will be ever present too! Remember if we prepare a place where the presence of God can be heard, observed and felt, mission accomplished. We do the preparing and Christ does the rest. Beautiful isn't it? Ok, now for the reality. This kind of worship may not always be the goal on a Sunday morning. It may be set aside for a time like say, Monday night. Actually Monday happens to be our Date Night with Jesus. That is the time for us to let loose and be free to express our love to him in our own way. I think it is safe to say the main focus on Sunday morning is to give a brief glimpse of what we as believers do when we get together. We sing to Jesus, we learn about Jesus, we practice on each other the principles of his word. We pray for each other, serve each other, teach each other, and whatever else we can fit into a 2 hr time frame. It will require other times together to serve other needs.  It is as we grow more mature do we spend hours in prayer or singing to God.  So, if you are of the more mature group we want to offer a time where you and God can hang out and bless one another. That is done on Monday night. Sunday is kind of a teaser if you will. A taste of things possible. A time that you can invite that friend or relative and show them a short version of this incredible life you now live. Introducing them to your family of God. Look, you wouldn't bring a new friend to a family reunion and expect them to just be at ease or real comfortable. You may start by introducing them to your wife, or husband, mom, or dad. Maybe inviting them over to your house for dinner. Start building the bridge and then as your relationship grows you will show them the whole family. It is a lot to take in as a guest.
