It is a privilege to communicate to you the very exciting new ministry in the Northland Region. The Oasis Ministry Center is a place where all can draw near to God. We would like to provide an environment where the presence of God can be heard, observed, and felt. It is our intention to bring to Duluth, MN a place where people can discover the truth about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  As my wife and I make steps to fulfill the call of God on our lives we ask that this vision would take root in the hearts of all who live in the Duluth area. We believe in a ecumenical church and ministry. It is our desire and the Lords that his children called the “church” work together in being who God calls us to be. The Light of the world, the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.   Acts 2:42-47 gives us the mandate and protocol for what the church is about. Yes it is a place of equipping and training, but what is the training and equipping for? Part of loving our neighbor as ourselves is making sure they are able to meet the demands of life. Let's join hearts and hands and produce the fruit of Christ together!

Do we believe a ministry center will do something other than the local church is doing? No we do not, we simply want to do as the motto for NLAE (Northland Associates of Evangelicals) states “do together what we cannot do alone”. This is a beautiful picture for the “world” to see the bride in action. How wonderful it will be when walls of competition and division come down in our land! Glory be not to man but to God!
Some other plans for the future include: to have multiple transition houses for helping with the addiction and homelessness in our communities, to have family sponsors for the graduates of Teen Challenge, to provide adoption and foster programing, to have homes for college campus ministry, to have homes for teenage mothers, to have a city chaplaincy program, and whatever else the Lord wants to do with his vision.
Wow, a lot to think about isn't it?  Don't you just love the networking of the church? Please communicate this vision with whomever you wish. We are not looking for anything other than God driven support and laborers. We believe as we are faithful in spreading Christ's vision for our region, He will bring the appropriate provision and help. We believe the city of Duluth will back us as we strive to share or even lessen the load of social responsibility.  May the Lord build the house so we won't do it in vain.
